WHAT IS A CELEBRANT AND WHAT IS A REGISTRAR
A registrar is a government official, responsible for keeping legal records. A wedding ceremony performed by a registrar must take place in a venue licensed for marriage, using specified contractual wording to legalise the union. Religious / spiritual content is not allowed in a registrar wedding ceremony.
A celebrant is an independent individual who is trained in providing you with a custom made ceremony designed to celebrate any ‘right of passage’ in a way which is personal to you, without legal obligation or government restriction. There are very few limitations as to what can be included in a celebrant wedding ceremony.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO CELEBRANTS HAVE
Trevor has qualifications issued by the Society of Celebrants UKSOC UK (UK Society of Celebrants), FISMM (Fellow of Institute of Sales and Marketing Management ), FCIM ( Fellow of Chartered Institute of Marketing ) I have Public Speaking training and have been a Councillor and Mayor of High Wycombe
IS A CELEBRANT WEDDING OR PARTNERSHIP CEREMONY LEGAL?
No not in England, to be legal you would need to complete a STATUTORY service. The cost of this is only about £50, It is very basic and in no way bespoke, personal and unique.
A REGISTRAR V CELEBRANT COSTS
Registrars are relatively low cost but are no frills events . A Celebrant led bespoke ceremony has much more content and is unique and personal to you.
CAN WE WRITE OUR OWN VOWS?
YES please. Personal vows from your heart say a lot more. I can write vows with you or guide you if you wishes.
CAN CEREMONY BE ANYWHERE?
YES anywhere you want thay is really important to you both. By a lake , on a Lake, even in your back garden or Stonehenge if you wish. There are many venues licenced for weddings today
COULD CEREMONY BE OVERSEAS?
YES. We would only need to check local laws so that you can be clear on the legalities. Destination weddings are very popular these days
CAN I INCLUDE PETS IN CEREMONIES
YES, All types of pets are welcome and can form part of any ceremony
WHAT TYPE OF CEREMONY CAN WE HAVE?
Absolutely anything!

HOW WILL CELEBRANT DRESS?
Most celebrants will dress with utmost respect for the occasion and reflect the wishes of the family
That said, if you’re holding a themed event, I would be happy to join in the fun and adopt the theme.
WHAT EQUIPMENT WILL YOU BRING WITH YOU
Venues often have their own sound systems. However, I have my own PA systems and microphones to ensure everyone can hear what’s going on .
I can supply table and chairs for signing of any certificates if needed

DOES IT MATTER WHAT CULTURE FAITH OR RELIGION I AM ?
The content of a celebrant ceremony is not restricted to any culture, faith or religion. If you wish to also incorporate a degree of cultural or religious tradition into your ceremony its not a problem

Your ceremony is about you and your personal style. No matter how crazy, quirky, or unusual you want the ceremony the more fun we can have.

I will work with you to provide bespoke ceremonies for all occasions which are important and personal to you. Funerals, Vow Renewals, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Baby Naming , Coming of age, Retirement Parties, Formal Dinners and Lunches, Burns Suppers and more. I have facilitated many types of events.
HOW FAR CAN YOU TRAVEL
I can easily cover London, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Berkshire, Surrey and London. However am always willing to consider other enquiries .
WE LIVE ABROAD AND WANT EVENT IN UK
I can work with international couples and families to help plan their ceremony here in the UK whilst based oversees, and is happy to arrange a meeting over Skype or WhatsApp at a time convenient to you.
